As at now, Armenian citizens can travel to 70 countries and territories without a visa or by obtaining a visa on arrival.
This means that for the remaining destinations worldwide, a visa is required prior to travel. Notably, Armenian passport holders need to obtain a visa to enter countries such as the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and the Schengen Area countries in Europe. However, on July 22, 2024, the European Commission officially agreed to launch visa liberalization talks with Armenia, which may lead to visa-free travel to the Schengen Area in the future.
